This year’s Grammys got delayed, but they’re going down without a hitch just a few weeks after the Golden Globes offered a blueprint on how to conduct business.
I’ve been covering the Grammys for months, highlighting the biggest snubs, some sneaky sleepers, and the best bets.
Now that the show is officially arriving, it’s time to take a look at updated odds and hand out my 2021 Grammys predictions for all of the major betting categories.

There is some debate as to who should win Album of the Year at the 2021 Grammys. Coldplay is a mainstay, Post Malone put together a brilliant album, and Dua Lipa has taken the music industry by storm.
I mean, do we really need to see Taylor Swift take home the big awards again?
Yawn.
Well, kinda. As nauseous as it may make some to see Swift dominate awards shows routinely, she’s earned it in 2020.
Propped up by smash hit “Cardigan”, Swift pieced together an ageless gem in Folklore, and appears to be the clear favorite to bring home Album of the Year for the third time.
Last year’s Grammys belonged to Billie Eilish. This year, it feels largely like Swift vs. Dua Lipa, and I think Swift has the nastier uppercut.Best Alternative Album Odds
This could be a great opportunity for the academy to make up for past wrongs. The wrongs are pretty recent, of course, with Fiona Apple inexplicably left out of the mix for Album of the Year, among other awards.
Suffice to say, she was among the biggest 2021 Grammys snubs.Biggest Grammy Awards Snubs for 2021
The 2021 Grammy Awards prepare to honor the best artists in the music industry on March 14th, 2021. This year’s Grammys have been pushed back (they ran on January 26th last year), but the event will still go off without a hitch. Of course, that’s..Grammy Awards Betting 2020Read More
Apple does get a tip of the cap here, however, as Fetch the Bolt Cutters pulls in as the favorite to win Best Alternative Album.
There’s a chance she gets a run for her money from Best New Artist Nominee Phoebe Bridgers, but when it gets down to it, there isn’t a debate over who has the more impactful album.
Per usual, Apple’s music works as a never-ending emotional punch to the gut, remaining transparent and defiant at the same time. The -280 odds aren’t that welcoming, but if she doesn’t win, I’ll be floored.Predicting Who Wins Best Dance/Electronic Album
I’ll admit I don’t listen to a bunch of Dance/Electronic music, but even I know this is Kaytranada’s race to lose.
Louis Kevin Celestin is wise beyond his years, wearing multiple hats as producer and mixer, and he took things to a whole new level with Bubba.
Powered by the hypnotic “Gray Area”, Bubba looks like an elite value for bettors.
*Pick: Bubba – Kaytranada (-140)
Another award that doesn’t feel to be very much in doubt is Best New Artist. I feel that way so strongly, that I have my pick in the best bets for the 2021 Grammys.
There are admittedly a few challengers that deserve some respect, of course, with Doja Cat making a name for herself, and Phoebe Bridgers offering a more introspective feel to the race.
I think betting on either of those artists is feasible, but nobody took over 2020 quite like Megan Thee Stallion.
The 26-year old had already enjoyed plenty of success prior to 2020, but a provocative collaboration with Cardi B and her placement in Time magazine’s most influential people put her on the map at a much bigger scale.
Megan Thee Stallion offered more than hits like “Savage” or “Captain Hook”. She added fresh personality and team-ups in 2020 that few can match. As an overall artist, she feels like a lock for this hardware. Sun and moon casino game.Who Will Win Best Duo/Pop Group Performance?Rain on Me – Lady Gaga featuring Ariana Grande+225Un Dia – J Balvin, Dua Lipa, Bad Bunny and Taina+1600
These seemingly random categories are where I would encourage bettors to get a little cute.
Obviously, this could just be Taylor Swift’s year across the board, but if you’re asking me, “Exile” wasn’t the best song in this category.Grammy Awards Voting
It’s “Dynamite” by BTS, and it’s honestly not even close.
For one, they are an actual group.
Everyone else here is just smushed together like a poorly spread PB&J. If I had to pick a second option, I’d stick with value and target Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande.
But in terms of the best overall song by a duo or group, the +250 price for “Dynamite” feels absurd.
*Pick: Dynamite – BTS (+250)
Again, you can look at betting on the 2021 Grammys in two ways; this is just the year of Taylor Swift, or perhaps she just wins “the big stuff”.
Swift feels like the winner for a lot of the big awards, but when looking at Best Pop Vocal Album, I feel the Grammys voters could go in a different direction.
I would agree Swift probably had the best overall album in 2020, but did she have the best pure vocals apart from content and production?
That can certainly be argued, but she has impressive company here. Dua Lipa seems to be challenging her at every turn, while Harry Styles, Lady Gaga, and Justin Bieber are some powerhouse value bets.
Swift is likely the safe play, but she can’t win every category. This feels like a spot to pivot to Lipa or go big.
I opt for the latter, and I think The Biebs is very tempting at +1200.
Bieber has always been a controversial pop star, but in recent years he’s seemingly matured, gotten married, and become much more transparent and vocal about mental health.
He also is perhaps the best singer in this category, and Changes is one of the more underrated albums of the year. This could be a nice way for Bieber to get recognized for his 2020 work.Odds for Best R&B Song
Queen B enters the 2021 Grammy Awards as a threat to take home some serious hardware, but she is the favorite in very few spots.
Perhaps that’s why I love Black Parade to take home a big win for Best R&B song.
If we’re real with ourselves, few artists represent R&B like Beyonce can, and that’s especially true when you look at her competition this year.
Not only that but “Black Parade” plays as an anthem of sorts for the African American community.
Embedded in an album that serves as a tribute to Africa, no other track would be more fitting as the winner in this category.Best Rap Song PredictionSavage Remix – Megan Thee Stallion ft. Beyonce-130Laugh Now Cry Later – Drake featuring Lil Durk+1000
If you’re looking for the best rap song, look no further than Best New Artist favorite, Megan Thee Stallion.
She lit up the rap scene in 2020, and no vehicle allowed her to do more damage than her collaboration with Beyonce in “Savage.” The remix of this track hit number one on the US Billboard 100 chart, and has been her biggest hit to date.
It also serves as a fluid, visceral unveiling of Megan Thee Stallion as an artist, and it’s quite arguable nobody did it better than her in 2020.
*Pick: Savage Remix – Megan Thee Stallion ft. Beyonce (-130)
If this were daily fantasy sports, The Strokes and The New Abnormal would serve as “the chalk”. They’re rock solid, they make sense, and they fit the scene.
But are the Grammys in the business of just paying their respects to established, mainstream artists, or can they stretch their neck for – ya know – the best album in rock?
If so, I think they’ll find that Michael Kiwanuka’s self titled album is the real winner here.
I actually got to dive into the mind of Michael Kiwanuka when looking at the 2020 Mercury Prize winner last July (an award he won, by the way), and instantly fell in love with his music.
He also was one of my favorite 2021 Grammys sleepers.
An aged, pointed, nuanced, and forever hopeful album, Kiwanuka is literally good enough for a much bigger prize. Best Rock Album will have to do, it seems.Odds for Best Rock Song
I touched on Apple being among the biggest snubs going into the 2021 Grammys, but it’s worth noting that she did garner some nominations.
Apple is even projected to potentially win a couple of trophies, and this is another one I’d lock her in for.
There is a stir-crazy feel to “Shameika” that is impossible to shake, while it also has a fun back story. Mix in Apple’s emotionally unhinged tone and frenetic pace – as well as the sheer catchiness of the track – and you’ve got a home run winner.Grammy Awards Music
Bridgers is on the rise as a Best New Artist contender, and Impala’s “Lost in Yesterday” is the sleeper pick you really need to watch out for.
Seriously, that song is hypnotizing, and if it’s not in 100 movies a decade from now, editors are doing something wrong.
That said, nobody can touch Apple.
*Pick: Shameika – Fiona Apple (-240)
This Grammys betting category is a bit tougher to project year-to-year, as the best record doesn’t always come from the top album.
I’m not entirely sure why Taylor Swift isn’t even part of the discussion here, of course, but the good news for bettors is that she’s taken out of the equation.Swift would be a real threat – if not the favorite – but instead it’ll be Dua Lipa.
Keep in mind that Record of the Year is more about everything that goes into a hit track. It’s the song, the writing, the vocals, the presentation, and the production.
When you get out your “who will win Record of the Year” checklist, Lipa’s massive hit really does check all of the boxes.
Of course, there is legit competition here. Post Malone, Billie Eilish, and Beyonce all delivered elite songs to be considered, with Malone arguably being the most compelling sleeper bet.
That said, Lipa is losing to Swift in other areas she may well deserve to win. This may be one of the few spots she gets the nod.Odds for Song of the Year
Lastly, we come to who will win Song of the Year at the 2021 Grammys. That figures to be Swift, who pulls in as the favorite at most Grammy Awards betting sites.Latin Grammy Award
Rightfully so, as “Cardigan” was a dominant, heavy-hitting track that rolls off the tongue in a fashion only Swift can conjure up.
Swift is the favorite and should win, but she isn’t without competition.
Beyonce’s Black Parade echoes through the world during our trying times, Lipa’s Don’t Start Now is one of the catchiest songs of the year, and the tear-soaked “Everything I Wanted” batters you emotionally.
And then there’s “Circles.” Which is probably the most alluring upset pick at +1000.
But this really does feel like Taylor Swift’s year. It’s not her fault she writes such catchy, layered songs, after all.Final Thoughts on the 2021 Grammys
If you came here for advice for betting on the 2021 Grammy Awards, you found it!
I’ll admit that some of my 2021 Grammys predictions are propping up favorites I don’t think can lose, and other Grammys picks are more about seeking out some value.
There are just some spots that already seem decided. A few categories may be up in the air in terms of pricing at the top entertainment betting sites, but I’ve nudged you in what I think is the right direction.
Then there are the value bets, where superior artistry is either being overlooked or mispriced.
As is the case with any Grammy Awards predictions, mine are subjective, and I’m just one person. The way you look at the 2021 Grammys odds – as well as the artists that have been nominated – could (and should) be remarkably different.
The final parting tip? Go with your gut.
The Grammys are going to be fun, and some really deserving talent will get the highest honor. But there will be some upsets, and there will be some categories where the “correct” winner won’t get the hardware.
Toss the odds, my Grammys predictions, rumors, and your own preference or guesses into a blender, and bet the best way you see fit.

The odds offered at the top online sportsbooks for Taylor Swift to win for Album of the Year are favorable, and she is the only nominee listed with a negative money line.
Swift has previously won 10 Grammy Awards, and has twice won the trophy for Album of the Year (1989, Fearless). Now, she’s poised to earn a third award in that category and the betting odds indicate that she has a 65% of winning.
Swift is also the leader in the betting odds to win the award for Best Pop Vocal Album and Song of the Year with Cardigan.Album of the Year
*Folklore – Taylor Swift -180
*Future Nostalgia – Dua Lipa +250
*Djesse Vol. 3 – Jacob Collier +1000
*Hollywood’s Bleeding – Post Malone +1000
*Black Pumas (Deluxe Edition) – Black Pumas +1200
*Everyday Life – Coldplay +1200
*Women In Music Pt. III – Haim +1200
*Chilombo – Jhené Aiko +1400
Bettors that are looking for an underdog candidate should consider Post Malone’s +1000 money line odds for his album, Hollywood’s Bleeding. Sometimes it can seem like drawing blood from a stone when trying to make a profit off of a Grammy underdog, but a $1 bet on Hollywood’s Bleeding will “post” $10 into your bankroll.
The following line for Best New Artist requires bettors to decide if they agree with online Grammy Award sportsbooks that Megan is indeed thee Stallion.
Because oddsmakers are so certain of her victory, she is separated in the money line odds from the nearest contender by over 500 points.
Megan’s -240 odds equate to a 70% chance of winning, which also means that oddsmakers are not willing to risk much against bets made on her. A bet of $2.40 is required to earn $1 on a Megan Thee Stallion Grammy win.Best New Artist
*Megan Thee Stallion -240
*Doja Cat +275
*Phoebe Bridgers +350

*Kaytranada +3300
Because the music industry rides the tide of current trends and listener tastes, new forms of music can often take center stage, overshadowing genres that have been around for decades.
Rock music used to drive the industry, but that has not been the case since the late 1990s. While rock fans are familiar with The Strokes and Sturgill Simpson, this category used to be filled with some of the top-selling musicians on the planet.
These days, rock n’ roll has taken a back seat to most other genres, and unless there’s a shift in the industry within the next decade or so, it could become an irrelevant award.Best Rock Album
*The New Abnormal – The Strokes -225
*Sound & Fury – Sturgill Simpson +325
*Kiwanuka – Michael Kiwanuka +550
*Daylight – Grace Potter +600
*A Hero’s Death – Fontaines D.C. +1200
One peculiar observation regarding these 2021 Grammy odds is that there does not seem to be much competition for the top dog in each category. The favorites are listed in the negative with all others listed in the positive in every instance.Record of the Year
*Don’t Start Now – Dua Lipa -190
*Black Parade – Beyoncé +350
*Savage – Megan Thee Stallion Featuring Beyoncé +450
*Everything I Wanted – Billie Eilish +900
*Circles – Post Malone +1200
*Say So – Doja Cat +1400
*Rockstar – DaBaby Featuring Roddy Ricch +1800
*Colors – Black Pumas +2000
Because of how the odds for the 2021 Grammy Awards are set up, bettors are going to have to do their homework in order to select a profitable underdog. Otherwise, patrons may need to rely on the slim winnings that can be had by betting on these overwhelming favorites.

Bettors that are looking for an underdog candidate should consider Post Malone’s +1000 money line odds for his album, Hollywood’s Bleeding. The following line for Best New Artist requires bettors to decide if they agree with online Grammy Award sportsbooks that Megan is indeed thee Stallion.
Because oddsmakers are so certain of her victory, she is separated in the money line odds from the nearest contender by over 500 points.
